I recently decided to start learning Final Cut Pro X, my brief initial review of which is: "Not bad". It's actually pretty intuitive, especially if you are already familiar with the concept of arranging clips/events in timelines, as one does, for example, when composing music or making keyframe animations in Flash and the like.
So, I encourage anyone who has been thinking of giving it a try but felt daunted by the seeming enormity to just dive on in and learn it organically after a few hours of mucking around and RTFMing with goals in mind, I think I pretty much got a hold of all the primary functionality.
Anyhow, the result of this exercise was my first video, which, while it isn't good it's definitely good for a laugh. I present you with "Fighting Evil by Daylight" and issue the disclaimer that while I'm poking a bit of fun at these guys, I'll offset the meanness of it by admitting that in youth I was even less cool than this even if this was what they were actually doing.
I somehow started a bit of a trend of making these industrial dance mashups, but received no credit for it! Damn it! I'll be Internet-famous one day
