To say that all he thinks is important is god, is kind of misleading. God is the only the thing that exists, so he is the only thing that is important, but nothing else is challenging him for the title. "By God, I mean a being absolutely infinite -- that is, a substance consisting in infinite attributes, of which each expresses eternal and infinite essentiality. I say absolutely infinite, not infinite after its kind: for, of a thing infinite only after its kind, infinite attributes may be denied; but that which is absolutely infinite, contains in its essence whatever expresses reality, and involves no negation." That is a definition of God directly from Spinoza. And, depending on what you mean by Divine, I'm sure he would agree with you; he often refers to God as the Divine Being.

As for evil, it doesn't exist. Evil is subjective, we think that something is evil because it is evil to us, in our opinion. The evilness of a thing exists only in our interpretation of it, not in the thing itself because the thing itself, no matter what it is, is an aspect of the divine being and there can be no evil in the divine being. And, since the only thing that exists is God, and God can see all and know all and is all, he knows that the things that we perceive as evil are happening because they are logically necessary and determined. He defines evil as a hinderance toward attaining a good, and since God is all attributes infinitely, he is already infinitely good, therefore there is no 'attainment of good' to be hindered and therefore no evil. He also says that the knowledge of evil is an inadequate knowledge and that man cannot have adequate knowledge about anything, if he could then he could not have knowledge of evil. God has adequate knowledge of all things and therefore evil does not exist in God and, again, since the only thing that exists is God and evil does not exist in God, then evil does not exist.

So, not really number theory, per se, but ...Riffing off spinoza....

So numbers exist as a tool in our minds. yada yada, we create the terms to define them and their functions, yada yada.... The interesting difference between numbers and letters is that numbers have a "value" inherent in reference to the rest of the set of numbers.

Letters, however, have no "value" or means of comparing. 2 is 1+1, but B does not equal A+A. Letters only work as a set, used in combination, and given the context of our society, culture, language, etc..

Herein lies the differnce between "rational" thought and "irrational" thought. Language is associative (both letter to letter and term to term) and dependent on the user, their meanings and "values" in combination depend on how we, the individual user, use them and in what combination. Numbers function, for the most part, the same irregardless of our combination, personal perspective..

The human mind is then composed of both a "Rational" /value judgement of reality, and an "Irrational"/associative value.

Here is the problem with most philosophies - they tend to think that reality can be explained in purely rational terms. Human thought, communication and understanding, however, is contrary to this rationality, because it uses numbers, letters, sounds, and images and a myriad of other systems to interface with reality, some value driven, some associatively driven.
