If you really wanna "talk" -- I'll probably write you privately on this one. I think people get confused when they "dislike politics," versus people that "like politics." Quickly I'll say, that the way things are run on a large scale obviously sucks and very rarely [it probably looks like never (but sometimes)] works the way it's supposed to .. But that scale is not what people see and say they like. When I like politics, I like the ideals and what people are trying for. I like what it's supposed to be, and I like the way the broken system is trying in spite of itself to move forward. Is it? Not much, but all of the fighting is so vicious because everyone is trying to move so strongly in some direction and everyone's so angry because they're trying to pull in whatever direction and what I am -interested- in is the legality of it all, the struggle. Do I love the actual fighting and the dirt of it? The power struggle -- do I love it in a -positive- way? No. I am -interested- in it, it intrigues me. I am interested in it the way I would be interested in .. wreckage on the side of the highway, the way I'd want to watch a body be put back together on an operating table. It's bloody, it's confusing. There's adrenaline and there's a chance for something really good to happen -- it really matters, real things are at stake. So people who -dislike- politics because they think it's stupid and close-minded? I think -that's- close-minded, because they're looking at the wrong parts of it, and not seeing what those people are attempting .. they're trying to stop the gears from turning, rather than seeing how they can get them to turn more effectively in the direction they want.

I mean, to be honest, in that situation .. it doesn't matter a single bit if she's "keeping it friendly" which she's probably not if you have to question it [and you know I'm right] -- because it's all on you [ie: takes two to tango, etc].
