Sent out 5 resumes today, was offered a job at Tower Records working minimum wage. I rather eat the feces of a bum than to work for a corporation for minimum wage when credentials should speak for me; even if I am just ringing up overpriced CDs @ 17.99. fucking crooks. And besides, everyone at Tower has a too cool for school attitude, and they are impolilte. I don't think I ever heard a worker ask if I needed help or say "Thanks" - if I was getting 5.50 an hour I might act the same way. $$$$ I just can't get the knack of that shit (line from the great film Blue Collar) If gas prices go up to 3.00 a gallon I think I will just walk and bus it. My car is nearly shot anyway. I am feeling NYC - just around the corner, a little job job.
A lazy, hazy, end of the summer day. The upshot in these coming weeks: no fucking ill mannered punks to contend with. The Down: No paycheck. It's all okay though, a real super cunt is the principal there now, and my old girlfriend is still teaching there. The months of Sept - Dec should be interesting if nothing else. I already feel like I did when I was 23 clueless, and just out of college. The only difference is I now have some fine wrinkles and touches of gray hair....see birthday, I can't bare to look. Smoking dope, drinking coffee and waiting for that phone to ring...that won't be happening, maybe a few times, but I will need to be up and about...mind on the goal. New life.
I should call my brother tonight, say hi to the niece. Take a look at her in my pics...
Why do I confess in what essentially is a public diary? Maybe because it's always easier telling your story to strangers. Hopefully after the Oct 10th SG show I will know more peeps personally. Suppose to go to Museum of Mod Art tomorrow, I have 68.67 in my checking account. I just feel bad for this girl new to NYC...my feelings always betray me. I smell trouble with her and haven't ran yet. RUN RUN RUN!!!!
I need to take a less is more approach to these goddmaned journals...every 4 days is enough. I had hamburger helper for dinner tonight. Delicious.

I'm looking for work too. Jesus, is min wage 5.50 there? And I thought we had it bad with 5.90... though I suppose that's canadian... i don't know what the difference is on that, but whatever. Good luck with your job hunt.
