Just heard back that I didn't get the job, which is a bit disappointing, but I have managed to wangle a fortnight's work placement. So at least I got something worthwhile out of the whole debacle!

I was meant to be going out in Manchester on thursday, but my friend couldn't make it, so now I've got two days off and nothing to do with them. Talk about a disaster!

The one upshot of being fully this week is that I've finally had a chance to read some books.. I've nailed the His Dark Materials trilogy and The Da Vinci Code... All of which I really enjoyed.. I've got a book about the theory of relativity and time travel waiting to be devoured next
