Yay! My new camera will be in hand by Friday afternoon. I just realized that Monday is a holiday, so I've got a 3 day weekend to play around with it.

I'm still worried about my other family members...I'm hoping they'll allow themselves time to grieve as grieving is a HUGE part of a healing process.

Totally understand your loss. I took care of my dad for his last two years of life- the grief didn't hit me till several months later, when I had a total breakdown. I'd been staying strong (or so I thought) for my mother and my family. I mean it wasn't a shock, I saw his decline firsthand as I was unofficially his 'hospice' caregiver. I knew for 20 years how it would be for him.
It is still a very huge loss!
Grief doesn't always hit right away, there's a period of shock, denial, and eventual acceptance. And even knowing the psychology of it doesn't make it any easier.
I was overwhelmed by sadness suddenly one night, with no clue it was coming.
If not for my guy I probably would have joined my da in the afterlife.
I hope your family (and you) find peace with your uncle's passing.
