The old pic returns and the profile is updated. So it's Amsterdam and not Mexico?

Answers:
1) Coffee
2) What's up with all the meowing and headbutting?
3) Yesterday. Hey, you had a standing invite but didn't show up, so we had to start without you.
4) NYC. SF is a close second. Then Toronto. I'm very urban and western hemisphere.
5) Berlin, London (again), Tokyo, Atlantis. Oh, and somehow New Orleans seems more appealing than it used to. wink
6) Anywhere that feels like home
7) Nope. Sorry.
8) Too many and not enough, simultaneously.
9) I should make something up to sound cool, but ever since I've been riding a bicycle to work I've been smitten with 70's rock. So yeah, "Slow Ride" by Foghat.
10) At peace with myself. Hopefully I'll be one of those cool old guys who own their own dimly-lit record stores, too.

So, are you officially back from hiatus? kiss

I analyzed The Well-Tempered Clavier(book I) for my Theory class a while ago. I didn't like it...I mean, I understand the importance of what he did, but boroque music gives me that "too much food in one sitting feeling", you know what I mean?

Yay for drunk posting.

I don't know if I contributed to the online version of the gravitational pull back to socialization. If I did, I don't know if I should apologize or not.

But it is nice to see that your absence triggered a "hey, where the heck is she?" response. I have a habit of disappearing and not being noticed, but then again I'm antisocial all the time already.

And us sober people don't have a good excuse for poor spelling and grammar, so you should take advantage of the free pass while you can. Fuck, there are worse things to do while drunk than misspell something.

So when do I get to see some of your new drawings?

And when will I get my share of late night drunken Hyena journal responses?

expect no insight this afternoon. i am spent, literally and figuratively. turned inside out like an empty pocket, with nothing to show.

i am, i think, going to seclude myself for a week or so. i need the time alone, to think, to work, to get a hold on things in my life right now. it's important. you might say, desperately imperitive.

my favorite job...

"tell me what to make"

Gross.

They told my friend she was crazy, so she was. Listen to you before you listen to them. I'm not saying there is no validity to what you are saying....or what they say. But I think labels of 'insanity' are often way off mark. It makes a small problem a big one. I hate seeing that happen to people. It's happened to too many of my friends.

Isolation is always great for working!
daem:
Well i failed my quest. went 1 day without self abuse. 3 days with no booze. and 4 without smoking. i said fuck it. the whole time i tried to detatch from everything i kept being reminded of one of my teachers. We were talking about eastern philosophy, and he concluded that bhuddism strips humans of the human expirience. Without love hate desire vices disgust mourning we might as well be dead.

as for idiology. im havin a hard time with it. i feel as though ive sold my soul to the devil working at mcdonalds. but at the same time if i dotn pay my rent i get kicked outta my house and i dont have a car. to me it sounds like fucking excuses for tryin to make myself feel better. theres that hunger inside me to get outta it, to walk out and to quit, but god knows id be fucking my entire family over doing it. i try little acts of destruction from the inside, wasting bags and gloves and shit. goin slow on some work. ive thought about calling the labor dept or osha. just to fuck with em. but at least i havent started shopping at wal mart yet.

and hun i like reading your ramblings, and right about now im glad you posted. ive felt more isolated than i have in a long long time the last few days. i feel something stiring but whether thats good or bad i dont know. i could either create something good, or i could flip out again and all that shit. but you made me smile. God knows i dont smile much anymore.

ug. long night. made enough money to live off for another week, so that's always good. the dog needs to go back to the vet, so now i can actually pay for that. ready for bed though, now. haven't been sleeping. i will today, i'll bet.

true story. i walk in a bar...

me: "ever look at a problem and realize, damn, there ain't no amount of booze gonna make this better?"
Angela: "no."

yeah, funny when you have those moments of realization, huh?

and it's funny when the world shows you its true colors, all at once and unexpectedly. harrowing, really, is a nicely descriptive word, don't you think? and...

Well, how do you know the world is showing you it's true colors? Maybe it's actually showing you a less accurate version of itself that you think is more real based on your mood at the time, and the novelty of the new perspective?

Either way, you're still a rockstar. kiss

Tag, you're it.
uncognitive:
I'd be willing to admit that the world isn't as pleasant as it seems when I'm in a up mood if it could be proven to me that it's not as hellish as it seems as when I'm in a down mood.

Maybe it's both, at the same time, like some kind of multi-layered ice cream desert.

I'm sure disease, decay and death are great truths of the world, but I'd certainly hope they weren't the only great truths of the world. That's a big difference.

Anyway, hugs and kiss es to you. So there.

Tag.

anybody else keep a real journal? like, a book, that you write in? with a pen, or perhaps a pencil, if permanancy is not quite your style? or am i just antiquated?
in any case, ever read back over this theoretical "real" journal and think, "man, i'm brilliant" or "man, i'm pretty fucked up" or "wow, i sure can't spell" ?

i do actually keep several real journals. i kind of collect them sorta. I like the old style leather ones that you have to tie up. But damn are they pricey. Two of them i got as gifts, they're my favorte ones. I also have a quill and and inkwell that i use. sheesh talk about antiquated.

Hey you have good journal material there. i like it. wink

...and so God sent forth a mighty deluge, what to punish the sinners and all.

my apartment is leaking again. but oh no, not from the same leaks. from strange, new leaks. fucking great. i deserved that, i guess.

my boyfriend is going to pick me up in a little while so i can move the rest of my shit out of his house today....

The deluge is nothing...you only need to start worrying when it turns to blood, or toads. Then you know God's not just fucking around with you because he's bored.

As a fellow basement dweller, I sympathize with the leaks. Ugh...let's see, over the past three years I've had washing machine foam back up out of every drain in my apartment, water come down through cracks in the ceiling, flood water rush in under my front door and flood half the apartment two times, raw sewage rush under my front door and flood half the apartment once, and raw sewage rush under my bedroom wall and flood the other, previously flood-free half of the apartment. When or if we run off to Mexico, we're investing in a house on fucking stilts. skull

Should I congratulate you on moving out of the boyfriend's place? I mean, from everything I've read about him he seems like nothing but a bad thing for you, but let me know what brand of sympathy you want.

And I saw a shirt recently that said "I'm a country song waiting to happen". Maybe your dog will steal your job and your truck, and then you'll have to deal with drowning your sorrows after walking to the goddamn bar and being served whiskey by your own damn dog. (cue the steel guitar solo).

I didn't mean to remind you of your "not getting any"-dom (trust me, that's not the reaction I was hoping for!), but I can't imagine you don't have plenty of volunteers eager and willing to help you remedy that situation. kiss

Did I drop that hint loudly enough? wink
