Wow so haven't updated in forever! But there was good cause I promise. Back in August when I went to an interview for a position at Lawrence Livermore National Lab they told me they wanted to offer me a position but couldn't until I successfully defended my master's thesis. When I was interviewing with them I told them that I was going to be defending for sure in September. However when they were checking my references my thesis advisor told them that it was highly unlikely that this would occur. So for the last 6 weeks or so I've been in total lock down and working my ass off to make sure that I would do exactly what I said I would and defend in September. Well on September 30th I did exactly that and it felt AMAZING. The whole process was generally pretty stressful, I was super nervous but once the defense started I sort of just fell into professor mode and got through things fairly smoothly.

Anyway that is why I've been absent from SG for the last 6ish weeks, shit has just been too busy for me to update or even look at naked girls

Now that I've defended I'm hoping to have a job shortly! The position at LLNL will hopefully be getting back to me by Monday at the latest and then separately I have a really awesome line on a job in Seattle that I'm getting excited about. In fact I go there on Monday for an interview Tuesday. I've never been to Seattle but everyone says I'm going to love it. I'm so optimistic about it that I've setup a time to look at a brand new apartment complex in a section of town called Ballard, check out this pictures below.
