Man, that's pretty insane--lasso tool only. So you did the black outlining by just lassoing the outline and just darkening. Ok. Did you do that first, or later? And were you allowed to undo at all?

OK what I did was a layer upon layer tool to draw Jim with only lines ... a quick sketch and then more refined, about 4 steps.
Then I make a pallet of the three colors, a pure to a very very light ... right down the color wheel, but mixxing no other colors. Just lighten.
Then ... using the lassoo tool, I outlined a ton of places I wanted the lightest yellow. Then inverse. Then fill. Then outlined a ton more I wanted the darker yellow, and again and again [fill, fill fill]. Then start a whole new lasso tool with the color magenta ... then all the shades of magenta. Then the Cyan, all shades. The overlap of those three colors and the intensity of it makes for the other colors ... so its kinda hard to undo.
My lineart was on top of it the whole time tho.... It looks wicked if I take off the lineart. If you want I'll post it. You can really see the detail of what went into it.
