I've done a few different types of scans on both the 2nd partition of the first hard drive, and the only partition of the second hard drive. So far there has been VERY little to recover. Havent hit the primary partition of the first drive yet, and I've got a couple tricks left to try, but.... Blech. How much data was on them originally? I'm surprised I'm not finding more.
Hopefully I wont be too much of a bummer by saying it isnt looking well with that computer.

Well, prior to sending you an email, I'll ask what file system the hard drive has/had? The only tools I have anymore for that kind of stuff work on FAT/FAT32. If it's something else I'd need to take a look into if I know anyone I can "borrow" software from.

Give me a wee bit to track down my FAT recovery software (I'm 99% sure I know which wallet it's in), but I should be able to help you with that drive then. If you have a spare computer that already has an OS installed, that would be the easiest. Just bring that comp, the hard drive, and we can copy the data over. If not, I can still do it, but it's a slight hassle. My current hard drives are RAIDed.
Yeah--so I'm really bad at making committments to not socializing. I succumb too easily to persuasion to come to things. I think I've sorted everything out--it was just a whole combination of things on Sunday that really fucked me up.
