How to make it seem realistic when you call in sick to your work:

Drink a glass of dark soda (caffeine containing) right before bed. Wake up, don't say anything before calling, and then call. When you talk, it'll sound like crap. Booya.

That, or actually be sick.

For me, I don't know which one was the most effective. However, I'm not at work, and I'm lying in bed being all warm, so that's good.
