Well then--that changes everything.

I was on my way to a friend's place to resume construction of some dungeon furniture (presently, a padded table). We had to go get some foam and stuff. Anyway, that's besides the point.

So, on the way there, I was just driving merrily along the 26 (as merrily as possible, I guess) and I had an overwhelming desire to call my old work. I talked to the person I had the most contact with--we chatted and she told me what was going on there, and everything. It just seemed like closure, y'know? My hand was shaking the whole time though. I was super nervous for some reason.

Anyway, as the old adage goes: "When one door closes, another one opens." I guess you have to fully close one door for the other to open. Because, not 15 minutes later, I get a call wanting to set up an interview! So, great. I'm back in it. Hopefully I can nail this and get it. I'd be happy.

Someone told me today that they really enjoyed how my eyes sparkle. That made my day.

I felt tall all day. Like somehow whenever I looked down, my feet weren't really attached to my head, like my body wasn't quite attached all the way and I was having a slightly out-of-body vision. It felt good though. I felt like I was better for being taller--kind of like getting a mushroom in Mario Bros.

Yeah, so it was a good Wednesday. I'm praying for ice and snow tomorrow, though

No need to pray, my friend. Just come to Chicago. We have plenty of ice & snow. The novelty doesn't last very long though. Good luck with the interview.

And we are thwarted once again. frown

And now, I don't want it to snow, because I have shit to do this weekend, and I refuse to drive in the snow. We coastal Californians tend to lack that skill. tongue
