My body hurts. I've been doing a lot of manual hurt-your-limbs-til-kingdom-come type labor.
However, in all of this, and some other events, I've realized that I really do like pain. Physical pain, that is. Emotional pain and mental anguish doesn't really do it for me.
When I hurt, my mind is free to process things without emotions being assigned to them. I'm able to have thoughts enter my head, they register, they get processed, but I don't get angry if something comes up that I don't like. It's also just a really good feeling to sort something out.
The pain just gives something for my id to focus upon while my other brain-bits can do high-level ego and superego processing. Yay for pain!
