Love the poem... I like how sometimes poems can mean different things to different people because they're written in such a way that feelings are described but the actual cause is indirectly implied.
I try to make it a point to not let people hurt my feelings... a conscious effort since I happen to be an extremely sensitive person. I feel if someone pisses me off or brings me to tears, they got one over on me... they made me lose my cool.
I see allowing someone you DON'T care about to hurt your feelings as giving them power. Keep that power for yourself, babe.

I think I'm on the upswing from my funk. In short I have issues with my mom and acceptance and abandonment. I've at least learned why I'm upset and now I'm working with not letting my own insecurities match what I feel my mom is making me out to be.
