yeah new ink!
last night was spent recovering from the overdose of endorphins released by taking needle to skin, getting rather drunk, then dancing around to ShyFX and MC Skibadee - off the hook!
went to Muriwai today which is one of Auckland's beautiful west coast beaches. i try and get out there at least once a week because it's the most inspirational place in the world (for me at least). It takes about 30 minutes to get there from Auckland and as you drive over the hill when you arrive there is this vast expanse of ocean that stretches out in front of you. Today, from the hill, it looked like mist was covering all of the land below.
As i walked along the black beach, the salt in its sands sparkled and it seemed that the glitter was leaping out at me - it was really strange but in a beautiful, fairylike way.
Then when i was walking back the ocean got a bit wild and out of control and i swear it looked like horses were galloping onto the sands - although i may have stolen that association from another author.
Wikked week ahead -
my girlfriend has just created the image of Sophie who is the character in my storybook and i'm meeting her tomorrow - XCITING!!
tuesday is a gig to celebrate NZ music month with Sommerset and Gramsci - both awesome NZ bands so that will be great!
wednesday is my mates birthday which will mean a rather large hangover on Thursday i would imagine.
I've decided to go to Nepal for a couple of months at the end of the year to do some volunteer work, quite excited about the prospect of experiencing a culture totally different to kiwiland.
If y'all get the chance to hear the Wall of Bass Technique album by Baitercell and Schumacher (again, NZ music talent) do it - its choice breakbeat styles.
be good.....

Update: Has anyone come up with a way to escape the tax department?
