Ah yes, V for Vendetta could not be more timely..... a true anti-fascist statement. Malcolm X roles over then rises to approve and speak to us. Others join him : Fred Hampton, Dorthory Phillips, Aldridge Cleaver, Huey Newton, Leslie Booker, Kathleen Cleaver, Tarika Lewis, Mario Savio...... nice to see your faces. Standing bravely with them are Spanish Revolutionary fighters. Camillo Berneri, Enriqueta Rovira, Margarita Nelkin,...

I went and saw the first showing at midnight on the IMAX screen. I really felt they overdid it- they had to drill the concept into the viewers head. I realized why afterwords where one of the kids I was with was STUNNED by the movie. The concept they present is new to some people. They had to make the point of the movie blindingly obvious to appeal to that naive viewer who swallows everything wholeheartedly that they are given. Unforunately I don't think the target audience was probobly reached. More of a preaching-to-the-choir... but if they caught the attention of one person per showing... well, that's quite a lot of people.
The part that resonated with me was the fact that once Evey was free, she rejected her vanity and kept her shaved head. She wanted to wake up every day and remember that note. Remember the suffering. Remember Valerie.

"on the tattoo. you are unique. please forgive me for being blunt and honest, but, the design your thinking about could be so much better. you have such a resource of possibilities in SG, poke around. to me, body art ( let the word tattoo be for...

today was a day to deal with computer issues. isn't it a bitch how endemic switching problems are and how annoying it is how many times all the probing and searching and employing the electronic hammers is to no avail an you just got to call the IT squads (technical support). there all over the place and that can lead to some interesting side conversations...

rushing in the rainy, glittering streets of manhattan i am reflecting on the brain dead wanna be hippsters surrounding me, smart enough and connected enough to know but blind to the real politics of the world, almost completely oblivious to history and pathetically unwilling to make any sacrifices to change the world. wake up america before it is too late. hey you 80 to 90%...

Their talk about the other side of the destruction of the Berlin Wall: How many revolutionary minds saw it as the final nail in the coffin that buried their dreams of liberation for humanity and how they relate this to...

after my vio crashed (sudden tick of death) in the middle of a key design presentation, i am finally back to mac. autocad may still be an issue but other than that there is no excuse

That's why having a dual-boot system is pretty sweet. You could run your Mac for 99% of everything, and then boot it as a PC for AutoCAD or for DOOM 3.

Or, if you build websites, for the Worst. Browser. Evar (that 90%+ of your users use).
