today was a day to deal with computer issues. isn't it a bitch how endemic switching problems are and how annoying it is how many times all the probing and searching and employing the electronic hammers is to no avail an you just got to call the IT squads (technical support). there all over the place and that can lead to some interesting side conversations while you waiting for the little monster to go through its changes. american IT people are the worst. certainly they are the least likely to give good customer service. they reflect the gross self-indulgence that dominates our culture. the canadians are the best all around. the indians because of the deep maturity and wisdom of their culture don't need any customer service training and are great to talk to because they are so excited about the possibilities in their lives... so marvelously reflected in baliwood movies (though alphabet speak, when necessary can be a real pain in the ass). they may not actually know what is going on but they can get so imaginative and creative about the possibilities and sometimes so visually expressive about the mechanisms that it makes it a lot more fun whatever the outcome. hey! it just stopped raining..get to go stick my thumbs in the ground.
