Hello my lovelies...and welcome to another fabulous Friday!
GOOD NEWS!!! I GOT A JOB!!!
Yessiree! That woman with the bar finally called me and we met this morning for an interview at the local Hooters.
One of her first questions was, "How do you feel about oil wrestling or pudding wrestling?"
My answer? "GREAT!"
I'm pretty sure the deal was sealed right there

Happily headed off to school in my newly employed status to take my third test.
Yeah, we have tests every three days...
The program is really intesive and there's a LOAD of material to learn, which I don't mind...except the test every three days sorta screws up the study method I used to have.
Basically the rules were that I could pull as many all nighters as I wanted, study as hard as neccessary, right up until the day before the exam, at which point I'd have to take a rest. The method works for me because if I study too close to the exam I tend to me more nervous...
Anyway, I missed 2 of the 25 questions on the test today
I missed one because it was worded funny and the other simply because I didn't know the answer....but also because it was worded funny.
They're multiple choice questions, which usually go like, tech A says this and tech B says this...who's right? Problem is, often the wording is vague.
Anyway, I was pissed about the missed questions. Moreso about the one that I knew the answer to that was worded funny than the one I wasn't sure of the answer about.

After the test we headed out into the garage. Since Hector and I rebuilt both of the doors yesterday while Cool Guy (a.k.a mr. experience) was off building shelves in some classroom somewhere, I decided to assign him the fabulously uninteresting task of removing the old adhesive from the door frame and reapplying the weatherstripping.
He ended up putting the weatherstripping on encredibly irradically...hence, our door wouldn't close properly after being bolted back on.
His solution? To take a hammer to the striker part of the lock mechanism (that's the little bar thingy on the body of the car that the lock latches onto).
Hector and I both insisted we not do that, since the problem wasn't the striker, as we hadn't removed it from the car when we gutted the doors.
I suggested the problem was the misaligned weatherstripping...since the door felt spongey (hello? sp!) when we pushed on it. He insisted that the weatherstripping actually worked BETTER the way he had it.
I brought the instructor over...Cool Guy explains that it's simply the striker and then walks away.
The instructor took a hammer to the striker and our door closed better. I told HIM that I had thought it was the weatherstripping...and showed him the shoddy job... He sorta shook his head and said that I was right, it was probably the weatherstripping.
Too bad Cool Guy wasn't there to hear it.
Sitting in the car, relaxing and talking to Hector...I decided that the time had come to inform the instructors about what was going on in our group.
While Cool Guy was still on the phone I went and explained to them that the problem with our group was that Cool Guy wouldn't listen to either one of us.
Their response? "THAT guy?! Isn't he the one who butchered the shelves in the classroom yesterday?!"
LOL
I also told them about how whenever he did shoddy work and I confronted him with it he would shrug it off and say, "It doesn't matter, this is just 101..."
Which made the instructors pretty angry.
They kept a close eye on Cool Guy for the rest of the day.
So close that Cool Guy asked Hector if he had said anything to them. I told Hector, feel free to inform Cool Guy that it was ME that had raised the red flag.
When I later told Mr. Hall that I just wasn't sure how to approach this situation, he told me to just watch him fuck it up. When I expressed concern that his work would negatively impact my grade, he assured me that it wouldn't. Which takes a load off.

By the way...this is a picture of my very first body shop injury...this is what happens when you get your arm pinched in a rivet gun. Don't know what a rivet gun is? Don't worry about it...just take a gander at that bruise and ask if I'll let THAT happen again!!!
FYI...this bruise is already a few days old...plus, I really don't bruise very easily...take it for what you will...
