Finished reading The Stand early last night and followed it up with On Writing by Stephen King.

It had been years since I read a King book, which is strange because he's always been one of my favorite authors. I think a part of me didn't want to like him because he was so overly popular, much like Steven Spielberg. When it comes down to it though, there's a reason that they're so popular and it's because they're so damned talented. I'm glad that I was able to get over my stupidity and respect them for what they are again.

[i[On Writing is incredible so far. It starts off as a short memoir, which really just gives you a taste of his life. A taste that you want more of. I can't wait for the day he decides to write a full auto-biography. I'm hoping that I can take away a lot of lessons from this book. I'm looking forward to really writing again, it's something that I haven't done in far too long.

In other news, the job hunt isn't going to well and I'm haunted by a form of insomnia that won't go away. Wish me luck. I'm going to need a job by this week if I don't want to end up on the street.
