I had the most awesome day at work yesterday.
Me and a colleague took 16 troubled inner-city kids up to a bird sanctuary called Eagle Heights.
I was thinking they were going to be a bit of a handful (and to be fair some of them where), but these 14 year olds who had barely seen grass before let alone kestrels and vultuers were absolutely awed by the whole experience (as was I).
Us fortunates take so much for granted, and a day like this really made me feel I should do more for the community I live and work in.
