wow am i terrible at updating this blog, haha
ok, so been a few months or so..few things are new.
biggest thing for me, i'm getting promoted at work, getting into the shop and starting my heavy duty mechanic's apprenticeship. It'll be nice having my hours go towards something, going back to school a few months a year, and learning a whole shit load of new stuff. $5 raise doesn't have anything to do with it...
had a good christmas with Jess's family this year. My mom ditched me for mexico for the second year in a row. Jess's parents spoiled me, was pretty wicked...i spoiled her...
I'm taking my cousin to Silverstein, Protest the Hero, The Devil Wears Prada and Ill Scarlett on Friday. Everytime he's in my car he's begging for me to put Protest the Hero on or Cancer Bats, which I'm taking him to the next week.
My second cousin passed away 2 weeks ago...two of my cousins, 13 and 11, were really close to him. Almost made me cry due to them being so sad. He had Addison's disease since he was 9..ended up getting the best of him. Too bad, he was working so hard to get his life back on track.
That happening made me think about how much family means. I spend a decent amount of time with my uncle Trevor because i work with him, play ball with him, etc. But my other uncle, not so much, he works out of town all the time, and once summer rolls around, i'm so busy with everything else, i don't make time for them. I'm going to try to spend more time with all my cousins. They are all just coming into adolescence and it would be nice to be there as someone else they can go to for help and stuff instead of one of there friends who doesn't have any idea what they are talking about..

long time no talk! good to hear your holidays went well. mine were fab, riding at lake louise, sunshine, whitewater, fernie, and red. lots of snow, drinking, and laughs. sorry to hear about you cousin. we just lost an uncle not too long ago and his kids are 13 and 16, so i know what you mean about trying to be there for them and keeping a closer relationship. anyways. nice to see you're doing well with your mechanics. bye for now...
