It has been confirmed I will be going to Ecuador in November with VESA to help those I have been told are in need of proper toilets, schools and other facilities as well as to help teach English to parents and their children. Of course I don't speak Spanish so I guess I am going to have to put my German lessons on hold for a bit.
I also need to raise about $NZ6000 to pay for this so if anyone has any fundraising ideas please let me know. The money is mainly for building supply's and such so don't think I just want money to pay for a free holiday because I am going to be spending most of my time digging holes.
One Idea I have had is since I have started running, to run the Auckland Marathon and see if I can get few sponsors that way. I enjoy running but training to a 42km run isn't going to be easy.
