One day the devil was in hiding, so he created a mirror that made everything good and beautiful reflect and shrink in to almost nothing and made everything bad, ugly and evil stand out more clearly than ever.
All the little imps that went to the devils school they ran around with the mirror until there was nowhere and no one that had not been distorted. The devil was much amused and the mirror itself grinned and grinned. Then the little imps decided to fly up to heaven to make fun of god and all his angels, the higher they carried the mirror the more it grinned, until it was shaking so hard with laughter that it slipped out of their hands and fell to earth where it broke in to millions of pieces and then it caused even more trouble than before, because all the tiny splinters barely the size of a grain of sand went flying around the world, and when ever a splinter flew into someone's eye it would have the same power of the whole mirror and make people see everything distorted.
Sometimes a splinter of glass would make its way into someone's heart and would twist and distort the whole person into something truly hideous and evil.....

And that's how reality tv stars and politicians are made.
