Well, your job sounds cool ... but I do get that many jobs *sound* a lot different than what the day to day reality is. You are going to do something with your life, though, I gather ... that is a plus.

I'm sure my customers think our software is important, but I assure you it doesn't really benefit mankind in any sort of significant way. I am a project manager for a software developer and our software basically manages those large warehouses. Day to day I do database programming and design forms and other prints to work with said software. It's a little fun, a little boring, and a little stressful. It pays the bills. They let me have pink hair and tattoos. Need I say more?

And since its only a student job you have ... maybe you SHOULD sock up whoever it is you are referring to! Remember the rule about LIE, LIE, LIE! biggrin

Believe me, I didn't forward that email to my co-workers or I would have had to wear a helmet to work today! biggrin
