i've been on a poetry kick... it gets me out of being angry, it makes me feel better when i read it or even more so when i write it... but a lot of the times it goes unread by the rest of the world because it's not "elena"... some times you need to express yourself with out having your identity attatched to your work...

How right you are... though there are differences between the Chicago and Portland loser-bar scenes. Chicago is grittier, more desperate. Portland is a bit more stagnant and lazy.

No single song that sums you up yet. . . my song associations tend to be much more temporal anyway. The songs of the week are of course highly relevant. The first is a complex, unexpectedly mellifluous blending of not-obviously matching sounds, and the second is just a sweet bossa nova track that sounds like the memory of sunshine on a rainy evening.
