I just had a thought from a comment posted earlier. I figure I would throw it out there for all to voice on.
I heard that the president has commisioned for the NATIONAL ANTHEM to be translated into spanish. Due to recent actions in the fight for (chuckle) illegal immigrant civil rights... (?WTF?)
there was supposedly a decision made so that it is "fair" for the spanish speaking community.
WHO CARES??? When you come to America, speak english. If I tripped and fell into Mexico, I would at least try to speak spanish in your country because it would be inconsiderate, rude, and ignorant wouldn't it??? Well I don't see too many mexicans attempting to learn Eglish as of late. How about this. In heavily hispanic areas, how about we remove the elective to learn how to speak spanish in our high schools and middle schools and insert the required course of... ENGLISH... WOW what a concept. But at the same time, it also sounds pathetic. Whats next? Will we need to sing and play the national anthem in spanish at ballgames from now on? The great american pastime they call it. We will haev to wait and see... 13
