I'm not naive enough to believe we can or perhaps even SHOULD completely lock down the borders. I recognize that these (illegal) immigrants actually play a relatively important role in the American economy. Often jobs that American CITIZENS would never take. Yet they need to be done. I have no particular problem with that.
The "game" between the Border Patrol, INS, and the illegal immigrants reminds me of the so-called war on drugs. We'll never eliminate it no matter what. Some folks even look the other way. And hey, plenty of respectable citizens use or have used an illegal substance at some point in their lives. Yet it's reasonably forgivable when all is said and done.
I'm writing this from a truck stop in El Paso, Texas. For all I know, the dude sitting in the booth behind me could be an illegal. Heck, so could my waitress. But I don't give a shit in the least. As you pointed out, the PROBLEM I have is when illegals demand equal rights. Rights?!? For chrissake you're here against the law and are asking for things that are supposed to be given to citizens of this country. No fucking way, man. If you want these rights, become a citizen. Legal immigration is great. I have no problem with that whatsoever. But don't go asking ME to pay for shit for people who don't even bother to follow the rules (or even speak the language of) MY country.

Well I do agree with you on some points. I have no problem with the people who go through the due process to enter the country and obtain legitimate citizenship. However, there are a lot of lazy ass people who either feel that they are special or just don't give a crap because noboby seems to have a problem with just 1 person entering the counrty illegally. The other major thing that you touched on is the absolute WORST... When these people are so damn ignorant that they won't even take the time to learn the damn language. YOU are HERE in AMERICA.
