@rambo @missy (I edited this since originally posting it)
When I first saw that this was the topic, I thought to myself that besides the time I was a few feet away from Neil Patrick Harris and freaked out that he was there (I was too scared to take a picture), I didn't think that I had met someone famous. But, then I realized that during Maryland Deathfest (MDF) I had. It's not that I don't think that this person isn't famous. She's pretty big in the Metal scene. But, I think that the reason for why I'm not "here is my shrine, I worship the ground that she walks upon" fan girling is because I became more familiar with her as a person and we now follow each other on Instagram and are friends on Facebook (*insert sassy girl hair toss here*).
So the person that I met is Makiko from Grindcore band Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Delapidation. She's this tiny Japanese woman who is the 'front woman' of this amazing band. When you see her off stage, she's totally sweet, and kind. Once on stage, she just transforms into something else and you wouldn't believe that these vocals are coming from her.
Here's my picture with her and the band! (She's to the left of me, in the denim blouse. Don't mind my geeky smile.)
Another person that I've met AND have actually had the honor of working with is O-lan Jones. If you don't know the name, you may recognize her face...
Don't recognize her yet? Here...
She was the crazy church lady in Edward Scissorhands! I had the great opportunity to work with her on a little show called Serpentine Pink in Los Angeles. I got to stage manage it at the Son of Semele theatre in Echo Park...
Pretty raunchy promo pictures, but to this day it is one of my favorite shows that I've ever worked on.
And here's a cast and crew picture.
So there you have it. 2 people I adore that I am now friends with :)
