California. No doubt about it.
I need more hip-hop CDs, yo. I don't have enough. Just mix CDs and atmosphere. I'm lacking in the ways of rap. I've resigned to the fact that I am a hip hop fan.
So I probably will not be attending SG Prom.
I want to go really bad, but I am poor. *sigh*. I want to meet you guys.
I want to go dancing. Anyone want to find me a fake so I can go, since Indiana discriminates against 18-20 year olds? I'll give you a kiss and a jellybean.
shake it shake it.
School is pointless to me. We did the most boring, tedious, pointless exercise in English. I swear, it was something I did in 7th grade. Lame. This is supposed to be some prestigious university. Whatever. I find it boring. I'm going to school next year in Fort Wayne and if I still feel unfullfilled then I'm just going to stop. I'll probably move out west. I still like the idea of getting my masters, but not if I have to go throug this. I'd rather just go to a place specifically designed for actors and get a certificate of training. School is great. But not for me. *sigh*. I know I'm boring you guys with every entry on how much I hate school, but I have to get it out somehow.
I only have 40 days left until the semester ends. Rad and all that jazz, but that means I have to start cracking down on my doc script. I've come to the point where I don't care. I've never been much for grades (getting an A is not my life's goal. Just a passing grade will do.)
My room seems like it's getting smaller. Weird.
I was in a coma all day yesterday. I took one too many sleeping pills and was on my bed zonked out. I got up at 8:30 (pm).
Hopefully this semester will turn out to be eventfull. I have a chance to work at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival in May (cincyfringe.com). I'm going to start my job hunt in a couple weeks. I hope to take a mini trip this summer. Save a bit of money and fly somewhere, by myself. We'll see. Maybe I'll go see leavemehere
.
You know I think I've had a breakthrough. I don't have a lot of close friends. I kind of keep to myself. I avoid making friends, I've concluded. I've had plenty of opportunities to, but never followed through. I grew up a military brat. Moved ever 2-3 years. After 7th grade, we moved to Nashua, NH and I think that's when my reputation as a social butterfly started to die out. I wasn't used to the aggressive New England personality, so I kind of went inside myself and really haven't come out. Haven't went out of my way to make friends because a.)I still have this feeling that "well I'll be gone in a couple years, so what's the damn point?" and b.)culture shock of New England is still there somewhat. Who the fuck needs Dr.Phil? I got it all figured out.
My nails are so long right now the click against the keys. This is cool.
we be to rap what key be to lock.
"Rebirth of the Slick" is quite possibly the coolest song ever.
EDIT
I'm having the strong urge to cut my hair off again. I got it cut collar-bone length last june, then I got a bunch of choppy layers (which don't stay choppy since I have a natural wave to my hair and the ends curl on their own) cut two months ago but they're just about grown out. I want to go choppier and fringier and funkier. Do something that would make my mommy cringe.
Oh! And if someone got me one of these that says "I Love Agent Mulder" I'd love you forever and ever and ever.

On the assumption that you ARE an actor, I'm going to go out on a limb here. Because I like you so far, I am about to change your life for the better: have you read David Mamet's "True And False: Heresy And Common Sense For The Actor"? I imagine not, if you're still in school. It's nonfiction and is simply the clearest, best book on the subject of contemporary film acting I have ever read - PERIOD.
Now, don't get me wrong: school is great and valuable and I personally spent 7 long years working my way through to get my own damn degree (in film and psych). But I'm not an actor (any more): I'm a filmmaker and my educational needs were different. If it's acting that's truly in your blood, well, then...
you must buy this book TODAY. No matter how broke you are! The wisdom it contains is (in my not-so-humble opinion) worth skipping meals for a few days if need be to buy it, but it's only $11. It's carried at most all of the major chain bookstores and any serious niche bookseller dedicated to the arts.
Shit, if you REALLY can't afford it, email me your mailing address and I'll send you MY copy; I give it away pretty often to people I think will benefit from it and just get myself a new one. Must've bought 2 dozen copies by now - if I ever meet Mamet I'm gonna make him buy me some drinks...
But anyway, you NEED to read it. Even if you don't generally like Mamet, or are a slave to The Method, you simply MUST read this book and understand it, for it is The Truth.
And I'm not shitting you about any of this. Email me if you need more info, and happy days at school tomorrow. Cheers!
You DON'T need that annoying Dr. Phil. Sounds like you're figuring it out on your own.
Please don't cut your hair.
