I just saw the Two Tower Extended Edition DVD...noiice! Cant Wait for Return of The King, next week

For dinner I had some ready-made food from Central Market. I had some almond-crusted tilapia....it was good but i think I can do it better. Also had a crab-cake like risotto-cake. I have decided that the next dish I master will be Risotto.

So the big lebowski. Very interesting that whole strike thing, were there any other metaphoric or interesting things that happen that maybe i can think back upon or maybe notice when i watch it again.

I think the Coen Bros. do some of there best character work in The Big Lebowski. All the characters seem very cohesive. And quirky. If you're into getting "lifted" <nudge, nudge> <wink, wink>. I recommend watching it that way. Also the way it's framed is brilliant. It's a western story. An anti-hero who just wanted his rug back, ends up saving the day in a way. I.e. exposing the fraud lebowski and with his friends ultimately destroying the villainous Nihilists.

Also if you've never seen O' Brother Where Art Thou thats another classic. If you did'nt know it's a retelling of the Oddysey. If you watch it look at the architecture carefully. There's all sorts of arches and greek ruins that would''nt have been found in rural 30s-40s mississippi. It's all great stuff.
