Well the weekend was pretty cool I guess, albeit rather low-key. Friday's 'couple' of beers turned into more than I anticipated and I just caught the last tube home whilst drunkenly munching on BK and got back about 1am. So, got up late on Saturday ran around the supermarket and then popped over to Clapham for some Cyberpunk action with some old friends. Got loads...

Thank god the weekend is finally here! It's taken it's time grrr. Fingers xssed the weather continues to improve so I can arse about in my garden! biggrin

Apart from a quick beer with some old uni mates tonight this weekend I will be mostly chilling out, playing some games, doing a few chores, catching up with a few people and *not* spending much cash, so...

Hamster update: In less than a day he's back to himself in many respects, and he's still weeing, so (without wishing to jinx it) I'll think he'll be ok (for now). Given his age, and the fact it's happened twice now, I think the special diet and the regular squeezing/massage is going to be long-term thing. Poor little bugger frown

Not much other news from me...

Oh ye of little faith.
I'm actually going to put all of the scenes in a big hat, tip it all on the floor and that'll be the script.
Works for Lynch.

And I meant locations in general, not area-specific. Am considering anywhere and everywhere at the moment, as long as it's unusual and interesting.

Cheers for your offers of assistance. Much appreciated and I'll get back to you very soon with stuff.

When I got back late last night poor Jaz looked real close to deaths door so I panicked and whisked him down to the hospital again. I was particular shocked given his youthful acrobatics last week. Apparently it's a combination of old age and more kidney/bladder problems. His poor little willy looks so sore too. He's got more medicine and I've got to rub his...

argh dude, I hope Jaz is alright...

and as for "...Mexico" - nonsensical pastiche sums it up i think. and Rodriguez does admit in the commentary that "he was making it up as he went along"...more or less...

I think he's a genius! very entertaining!

just got some vitamin C on your recommendation, sir! biggrin

Well Friday was pretty crazy! Rushed home from work early to get sorted for the evening. Then got stuck on the Jubilee for ages on the way to London Bridge. Had a few beers with my mate Baz who's moving up to Sheffield very soon. Then on to the Ship to catch up with the SGUKers.

Unfortunately although I managed to talk everyone into going...

darkotaku:
Puckman was the original title back in 1979 when Namco in Japan first published the game. The name comes from the japanese word paku which means opening of the mouth. When Midway games became the American distributer they changed the name to pacman as the p in puckman is easy to change into an f and thus spelling fuckman.

so:
namco = 1 for creating the worlds best known game
midway = 0 for being pussies

PS
I have a puckman tattoo on my right arm.

Well i took today off in the vain hope that I'd actually get caught up on everything. I only managed to get half as much stuff done as I wanted (especially as I saved over the wrong file and have to do it again tsk), but I guess it all helps. Fingers xssed the publisher will give me some more leeway to get it all...

Well yay for SGUK! Ended up down the Ship two nights in a row. Great to see everyone. Twice. Damn shame that Kate had to go early, but I appreciate the need for home and sleep - I bailed out too come closing time instead of following the rest of them to the club...

Only downer is I couldn't really afford to go out either...

'So how about a guy who you can get pissed with, who gets on with your mates, and who you can take home afterwards *as well*...? '

youve pretty much described the perfect man for kate!

if *only*

i was comfortable in a relationship awhile back- we lived together and everything.
then i realised he was an ASSHOLE.
kate:
naah, not a long story really.

i can do it in girl meets boy style if u like?
wink
nah he was just an asshole- i was a bit awful to him towards to end but he smoked too much weed (feckin stoners) didnt have a job cos his parents sent him money thinking he was at uni (he wasnt- quelle surprise!)

yeah, i hate people with no ambition

oh and he turned out to be a TREKKIE and a *embarassed* war hammer person.

i got sick of finding little aliens with guns in the kitchen, in my printer, and under my bare feet!

ok, so it was a long story!
wink

Well Northampton was ok. It was nice to see my old mate Paddy, although I spent most of the night chatting to the guys I went up there with. They were given far too much champagne so we had a stab at getting rid of it. My head certainly hurt in the morning. Shame I missed the rest of you guys.

Now the mid-week blues...

So you are gonna be a spy too?

Hmm, i'm in job limbo hell as well, as you know. I just try not to think about all the jobs I haven't got, i've got a huge stack of rejection letters and an angry bank manager, oh well, at least I have Andrew WK to keep me happy. biggrin

Many thanks for turning up last night. Filming started just after you left. D'oh! Continued until 5.30am though, so maybe just as well.
You still up for weekend shoot? See SGUK post for details.

Went out to see Kate's band last night, and I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised. IMHO somewhere between Muse, Rival Schools and Ok Go. Also got a chance to chat to Kate to make up for missing the opportunity last week, so hurrah! Plus a whole bunch of the usual SGUK crowd were there too, and although there was a plan to go...

i'm not aware of any spanish blood in me, or italian for that matter... it's weird, i often get foreign men talking to me in strange languages when i'm out and it's sometimes very difficult to convince them i don't have a clue what they're saying
