Well Northampton was ok. It was nice to see my old mate Paddy, although I spent most of the night chatting to the guys I went up there with. They were given far too much champagne so we had a stab at getting rid of it. My head certainly hurt in the morning. Shame I missed the rest of you guys.

Now the mid-week blues are setting in. I'm getting very frustated at the way time seems to be slipping through my fingers. I failed to do a job application form last week (for Dept of Social Services) as there was just too much to do. I'm now contemplating not bothering with another one (for the MI5) - those bloody sections where you have to give case studies that demonstrate your skills just do my head in and take *so* long to compose. There's no way I'm going to make the deadline Friday. And besides, I haven't got a hope in hell anyway.

And the typeset draft of my boardgame is nowhere near completion. I'm surprised WW haven't bugged me about it yet but I suspect they've got their hands full putting their new games together. Fingers crossed the deadlines don't slip so much that I see it on the shelves (and I get my hard-earned ) before Xmas.

It would all be so much easier if I didn't have to work...
