Right.

The crazy fun began on Friday when I went to see System of a Down. After much arsing about and my Essex pals running late we got there to find that 80's Matchbox B-Movie were indeed a Disaster (think worst bits of Elvis mixed with the worst bits of the Ramones). Luckly System were tons better, even if we did have to wait 45mins...

If you could wait long enough for me to sort it all out I'd seriously consider your kind offer. But I don't think you can... can you?

Dude. I am the cleaning master now. I have studied zen and the art of domestic maintainance...

And you got some months. We should talk further on this...

Wow, thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. Makes a chance from last year, when the day slipped past with barely anyone noticing. Not that some of my alleged (non-SGUK) friends noticed this year, but hey, f*** 'em. A lovely evening was had by me with a bottle of wine and Elektra for company.

And so onwards to the weekend! *cracks whip* Man I am so,...

Yesterday I got home to be confronted with my first birthday present, a week early, not from my dad (like I suspected, as he uses Amazon a lot) but from SuicideDoggie and Rainwolfkin. Goddamn what lovely people (& thanks once again if you're reading). blush

And so without further ado, an homage to my prezzy, the most superbly written comedy Of All Time Evar to...

Ha so yesterday I went to see Star Wars III a second time (Thursday was the first). I am so glad it wasn't s***. Not that it's brilliant, but I was so expecting the worst, and I so wanted the best I guess I can live with it falling somewhere in between. I won't post any spoilers but I will say that everyone should go...

ROOM FOR RENT - N/E LONDON & ESSEX (see below)

Looks like things have come to a head with my lame-o housemate, but not quite in the way I intended. After failing to make any effort to get my rent to me last week like I asked, he took umbrage at me having a go at him and has decided to bail. It comes as...

Yeah dude, I just got walloped with a 210 increase in outgoings (mortgage related) which sucks the big one... so it looks like I'm going to be economising for a wee while. Sorry... frown
fpkk:
It would definitely be a very cool thing to do soon. Although as it happens I *do* want to get this relationship underway a bit first. It's still really early days and she's kinda something else, y'know? blush

But she lives up in Pinner so we could even meet up in London or whatever some time. Unfortunately no sisters. I'll keep my eye out for hot friends though. wink

We'll make plans soon!

Heh spaz that I am for some reason I thought there were Star Wars previews yesterday rather than *next* Thursday, doh *slaps forehead*. For weeks I'd been entertaining the false assumption that it was coming out while I was away this weekend. Consolation I suppose next week is that I'm *not* away which means I might be more likely to grab a seat to see...

good luck qualifying. i played the tutorial on line (and the magic one too). i think i like VTES better though. its more complex. a bit weird to get your head around the games as a beginner, but a couple of rounds and i think i'm ready for real play.
rainwolfkin:
yes, i'd very much like that. are you free anytime this coming weekend?

Edited to say last night I nearly tripped over a hedgehog, and also saw some baby fox cubs playing about by a hedge on the was home last night. Awww. It's good to be reminded how great it is to *not* live in the city... smile

So Friday I partook of the hospitality of rainwolfkin and suicidedoggie, and introduced them to the whacky world...

one of the first things i saw in england after getting off the plane (a 7 hour red-eye flight), and boarding the gatwick express into london was a fox. he was just sitting by the side of the tracks watching the train.

i have got to get out of london! i wanna trip over hedgehogs! smile

So I found out yesterday that apparently my nan has cancer, and it's too late (and she's too old) for them to really do anything about it. There's no telling how long she's got.

Obviously it's a depressing thought. In some ways I feel rather distant as I've not been close to her or seen her much for a quite a while now, but on...

I'm always concerned that my life hasn't really been touched by death, all grandparents still fully functioning. I mean I'm about due. How are things going to change when any of them die? And is the grim reaper just going to economise by taking them all at once?

It seems a bit stupid to worry about it when all of them are fine... but the only relative I ever met who died (a great aunt) was all bouncy one day and dead the next... so the element of surprise makes it worse.

Hope you're okay dude.

Woah. So I'm back. Actually been crashed out all afternoon to make up some of the sleep that I didn't get. And wow. I'm also kinda Firefly'd out now, if that's possible. So good to meet so many nice people, both the cast and the fans. If ever there was a sci-fi phenomenon to beat Star Wars then this is *definitely* it. I've got a...
