To all the girls out there (including Suicide Girls)

You KNOW WHAT!

LIPSTICK = BAD

I have met maybe ten women in my life that know how to put on lipstick. They never go to extreme with the color, and they use it as a highlight to their natural beauty.

Changing the hue of your lips to some pre-determined color decided by some person that...

In her last journal entry (yesterday I think) she said that she had sent in her notice to Missy...so basically yeah.

So there seems to be this universal response to the question of change. It is uttered continuely from the mouths of my predominatelly nihilistic, and apathetic generation. An excuse to avoid the tough question, an attempt to subvert the realities going on around them, a "truth" of sorts but only in that it is a self fullfilling prophecy. The meme seemed to pick it up,...

if you give me addresses, the comics will come..,

i didn't say why they dropped me because they didn't really tell me. all they said was that the editor in chief decided against having comics in my section.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. We are doing better, but still sad at times. We have decided to do some stuff for Chris that will help us mourn, and help us tell the story of his life. We appreciatte all the comments we have gotten in support not only on this site, but also all over the web, and the country. Thank you...

Not my butt, but I love it. Dusty modeled for another site and got kicked off. They put up the same paragraph every time a girl gets booted. Baton Rouge is full of new people, the traffic is infuriating mad I want to help out more but I've been working more hours since the storm . Our sales have gone way up and with every going back to school, I'm one of the main cashiers. Blah. My piano is in the mud of St.Bernard. Oh well, at least my family from there is finally here where we can help them.

NI is getting very crazy at the moment and nobody really knows what is going on.
To me it looks like a consequence of right wing nationalism becoming so embedded in the psyche of a community that they become vulnerable to being manipulated by charismatic zealots such as Ian Paisley of the DUP http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Paisley The DUP is an 'anti agreement party' which means they are opposed to the peace process and the Good friday agreement

A section of the unionist community in the north are getting frustrated because they percieve that they are losing some ground to the nationalists. They are turning against the police because the RUC (in name anyway) are gone and they believe that the PSNI are somehow biased towards the nationalist side (they are not). This week the riots were sparked off when the police upholded a ruling by the 'parades commission' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parades_Commission
that prevented an orange march down a catholic road. Such marches had been re-routed before without the same level of violence, but the tensions had been escalating over the last year because of political infighting within the unionist side, Some sections are still dedicated to violent resistance and these riots are in some way a fight for supremacy within unionism itself. They are trying to and succeeding, in radicalising the unionist youth (children as young as 5 years old have been involved in the violent rioting against the police and catholics) These right wing nationalists know that if there is any violence by the nationalists in the north it will justify in the media any violence they themselves carry out and might cause a remilitarisation of the north, which is one of their primary goals, so they have been attempting to provoke the catholics into responding with violence. Their tactics are awful, including targetting catholic primary schools with firebombs and rocks

I believe that there are some powerful unionists who are engineering these riots and the paranoia amongst the working class. They are feeding hysteria when they claim that the 'republicans are getting too many concessions at the expense of the unionist community" although when asked what concessions they are referring to they just go around in circles without actually saying anything.

We got a horrid phone call last night.
A friend of ours back home, the drummer for the bands (A)PE and Nero in my profile, was killed on Sunday.j He was hit by a truck while riding his bike in Portland. The guy that hit him took off, and didn't even stop. Next thing the two people with him knew, our friend was dead.

Chris...

Ani Difranco has a song that states "Take away our playstations, and we are a third world nation.

We'll if any of us had any doubt about that statement whatsoever I think that this last week has answered it with a resounding YES we are.

I am not ever speaking about the actually conditions of New Orleans (while they are very much "third" world at...

I read this quote the other day, from a soldier in the 3rd Infantry that clears Big Fucking Technologicaly Advanced, Tactically Placed Bombs (or as the army likes to call them "improvised" explosive devices/IED's). A bomb went off next to him while he was driving down a road, in a country that does "belong" to him, that he is occupying (by choice). It went off,...

i understand your point, but feel differently.

yes, it was a blanket statement, and very generalized, and that man is probably the epitome of christian fundamentalism,

but when someone is prepared to die for his country, he should feel so strongly about his beliefs. everyone is a radical in some aspect of their beliefs.

blargh,

its harmless.

life goes on.

by the way, i think youre very intelligent, i like your pic, and i liked your comment.

thank you.

oh, and if my comment made you dislike me,

Yea Quinne! I don't know what it is about that girl, but she is just too fucking cute! I think it's the smile........

So I couple of people welcomed me back to this whole "real world" thing, and some others brought up some good points. I've been thinking a lot about it, and I must say that Eugene as a city (not even an anarchist...

thanks for the compliment.

comics are alright. i haven't finished anything in the last week. been busy. but i've been making connections with other proactive artist types. i think i'm starting to find my crowd maybe, of peers anyway.

i'm interested in hearing more about this kid's humor zines. thanks for screening him though. wouldn't want to be making a trade with frog. you know...

Never thought I would say this.
but I'm going through major culture shock at the moment. i don't think it is an east vs. west thing or whatever, I think it is a re-introduction into the collective culture of the U.S. that is throwing me for a loop.

Where was I for five years?
I didn't realise how much of a blanket reality I had...

verizon is the thorn in new york's collective side. the worst... the absolute worst...

there's an alleycat race on september 10th based on that movie "deathrace 2000." it starts in brooklyn and goes to who knows where. if i'm not in LA, i'm going.

i'm riding a shiny new bianchi with most of the stock components stripped off and replaced with lighter more durable ones (i thrashed the cranks, chain and un-trued the wheels in the first month of riding).

i'd thought about getting an old track bike and fixing it up, but decided that would be stupid if i decided to actually use it on a velodrome as well as the street, so i settled on the cheap bianchi and figure if i start racing and like it, i can just move the parts off of my pista to something like an IRO, bridgestone or colnago frame.

I didn't mean to piss you off, I just remembered a few things you've said in the Eugene group.

I tend to read peoples journals that are connected to friends every once an a while. Usually when they post interesting comments, and I'm bored. I don't read your journal every day, but yes I've read a few of them. If you want to call that lurking so be it.

I wouldn't move to NY as a state in general. If I had too I'd go for NYC, it has good restaurants. I also wouldn't like to move to any north east state. I have been all over this country as well as Canada and Mexico. I like the history in the north east but thats about it, oh and you can get a better assortment of good food.

Sorry if I made you mad dude.

Hot!!! Humid!!!! Sweaty!!
uuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhgggggggggggg

Mogwa hurt her foot really really bad two nights ago, we were out playing about in the streets, running havoc, and she rolled it on a ledge. It's all fucked up. We've been icing it and trying to get it down, but she can't walk so she can't go anywhere.

So we're stuck in this hot house (I could leave if...

Shit is working out. I know my last few entries have been rough. I get overwhelmed some times, and then it is really easy for me to focus on the negative when I get in that place. What can I say, I'm a true emo kid at times even though I have no desire what so ever to be one.

But I am proud...
