Hey now! I haven't played in my mom's basement in years!

It may be typical of the pro-Obama Dungeons & Dragons crowd to disparage a fellow countryman's memory of war from the comfort of mom's basement, but most Americans have the humility and gratitude to respect and learn from the memories of men who suffered on behalf of others.

Went to the late showing of Blade Runner:the Final Cut last night. Nothing like seeing BR the way its supposed to be seen, on a big screen. It was being shown in an old theater here in town, so the seats weren't that comfy, and the popcorn tasted funny, and it was WAY too hot in the theater...they had these old heating units under each...

A few weeks ago I figured out that I had some really old cans of soup in my kitchen cabinet. A few of them didn't have any expiration dates that I could find. Some had expired a year or two ago, which is pretty scary since they're good for a few years when you buy them. Some were not expired but still pretty old. So, I decided to start having them for dinner a few times a week until they were all used up. I figured if they smelled bad I wouldn't eat 'em. I'm just about done with the whole batch, so I'll be getting some "fresh" cans of soup from the supermarket soon.

Ah, the joys of bachelor living.
