Well...Human Resources called me and explained why I got turned down for the dispatcher job...and having clarification didn't help me at all.
What it did make me realize is that when an employer says "Be 100% honest. Not all mistakes in your past will stop you from getting this job" what they really mean is 'You might as well stop the application process here and prevent future disappointment."
It's fine though. I didn't really want to be an emergency dispatcher...I just wanted $20 an hour and some financial security...
and the benefits.
I guess one bonus is most background checks only check the past 10 year of employment. In another two years I won't even have to mention the event that got my disqualified.
Waiting for a call from a guy to meet up to sell a snake. Either getting $100 for a male yellowbelly or $150 for another one of my male yellowbellies that is cooler looking. Either would be fine with me.

Selling your snake? Is that what they call it these days?

Hard times indeed... with the aforementioned "snake selling" and all.
