Assuming I pass the drug test (I will, haha), the extensive background check, and the physical...I am a Communications Dispatcher for the Town of Avon.
Don't throw a parade yet, I still need to pass the above things...but I have been offered the position.
I asked how far back the back ground check goes when talking to employers. Honestly, if it's a 7 year background check then I should be all set...anything more is when you get into me being fired for shoplifting.
However...I never signed any papers or anything...I just paid for the merchandise (and they kept it...weird) and assumed I was "fired"....so that could just not be a thing.
I suppose we will see.

I'd still say congratulations and also would think Pinyon is right - you'll likely do better if you tell them yourself. People change and it if is 7 years ago, well, that's a long time and 'you've changed quite a bit since then, a reformed citizen... blah, blah'.
