Life baffles me sometimes.
A friend of mine dropped out of high school, but has always been good with computers. Taught himself all the computer stuff he knows...
now he has a high paying job...and is moving to D.C. to take an ever BETTER job.
No college. Just certifications from the stuff he taught himself.
Starting to think I got into the wrong field. Maybe I'll go buy a programming book this week.

I've met people like that, they amaze me too. The quality that I can see in them and not myself is discipline and will power. Even though I have recognized my weaknesses, I still haven't improved my life, much anyways. Wishes don't fix things, but goddamn I wish I had a different upbringing through school. That I had been taught that I must care for my own life and growth, and to have a bigger and broader perspective outside of my small world where I consume. Wish I had been taught that I will have to fight and work hard for the things in life that I want and deserve, instead of having had every thing and pathway already placed before me and given so easily. So few people fight for anything anymore. We opt for pascifism and the easier more convenient comfort that is offered to us.
