I'm going to start looking for a new job.
Reasons:
First, they didn't tell me about the waiting to be paid.
Second: No one in the office is retiring for another 11 years at least. That means no full-time permanent positions until then...and I am NOT working seasonally for 11 years. Not to mention, even if a job opened up...I don't have the degree they would require and I am not going back to school for 2-4 more years for something that is not promised. Can't afford it.
Third: I was told I would only have to drive to North Franklin 1-2 times a week. I was there FOUR of the FOUR days I worked last week.
Yeah, I get paid for it...but come on...
So today...while I wait to see if anyone calls me for pick-ups...I will look for a new job.
There is a warehouse job on Craigslist for $12-13 an hour WITH benefits...I sent them my resume. It's packing orders and entering them in a computer. I can do that...
So we'll see if they get back to me.
