I've never understood why people need to take shit out on the "middle man".
By that I mean low tier employees.
Example:
Yesterday morning the guy in room 360 comes down and tells me that his bedspread is covered in dog hair that he is quite upset with this. Keep in mind...he could have mentioned this BEFORE he slept in it...and I would have brought him all new sheets and blankets, but he didn't...
he just demanded that housekeeping do a complete bed strip. Ok, so I leave a note for housekeeping to do a complete cleaning and bed strip of that room.
Did they do that? No. They just made the fucking bed...
so last night he calls me at the desk and bitches me out about it.
He tells me how he wants to speak to the owner (who is asleep upstairs by the way because her second job is with the ALM race team...who is here)...and he wants an apology and possibly a refund. (Like I have control over that.)
So I move his room, and he is STILL bitching at me about it while I am showing him where his new room is.
I honestly felt like saying "Dude...I already told you I would have the owner talk to you...I can't control what housekeeping does. Fuck...I'm not even awake when housekeeping works...what the fuck do you want from me?"
Honestly...I can see ripping into a manager or owner...or the fucking housekeepers themselves for that matter...but I will never understand ripping into the grunt employees who get paid squat...
They have no control over others...or policies...so why not just have them relay the message to higher-ups and LEAVE THEM THE FUCK OUT OF IT?
I've NEVER ripped into a service desk worker, food handler, hotel clerk...you name it...and I have been quite upset before...but I understand it's not their fault.
It's not the Walmart service desk guy's fault that the POS camera I bought from them broke a month later. He didn't fucking build it.
I dislike people...

I totally agree with you- sometimes people need to get a grip. It's not like his bed was filled with live lobsters it was just some dog hairs for crying out loud. People like this are so ridiculous! He was probably just trying to get something for free.
