All kinds of exciting shit today.
First, a stupid gripe. It amuses me how all my highschool friends (except my REALLY close ones) are getting married, but none of them have invited me to a wedding. I'm not a fan of dressing up, and wouldn't go anyway, but the thought is nice.
Second, another damn baby normal male ball python died today. Going through my feeding charts, he has only eaten once in 2 months, so it is probably that...even though I offered him meals several times. I just hate when they just drop dead on me. Makes me feel like a bad keeper, even though some times you just can't save em.
Third and most important...I don't really care what religion y'all are, but I would like to ask for some prayers or energy or good mojo...whatever you like, towards Christine's dad. He has surgery in 2-3 weeks to remove a SOCCER BALL sized tumor from his abdomen, along with the kidney it's attached to. She's all kinds of worried about his recovery because her step mom and her are the only two people he has who can help him out while he recovers, and neither can be there full time due to having to work.
(Gotta love our health care system. We'll take a soccer ball out of you, but fuck yourself after that.)
So good vibes or prayers to whatever Gods or Goddesses you deem fit are much appreciated.
She was also worried about having to spend time down there (he lives an hour away) and not with me. I was like "I will be fine hon. I can take care of the apartment and animals and myself. I'm an adult man."
Sure, seeing each other once a week will suck...but it's only for a month and we did it for the first year while she was in college. I'll live.
