So today at Petco I did something I don't usually like to do...
I was at Petco and overheard a sales associate talking to a customer about turtles. She mentioned to the woman that you have to have a basking light for the turtle to heat up under...but didn't mention thatthey need UVB.
Turtles need UVB for Vitamin D so they can metabolize Calcium and not get soft shell.
So I mentioned it to her...
The girl didn't seem to mind and actually knew that turtles need UVB, but just forgot to mention it.
She later got me my rats and mice and I apologized several times for butting in, but she was cool with it and actually thanked me.
I always feel like a jerk...like I am telling the associate they don't know their job...
but when it comes to vital information that is essential to the health of the animal, I almost feel like it's my duty to speak up.
I need a reptile show or something.

I would have done the same thing if I overheard something about cats. I only really know alot about them. I think you did the right thing man!
