Christine and I have decided we want to sponsor a kid via one of those "for X amount a day, you can feed a kid" charities, and so far in my research, Savethechildren.org seems to be good.
$0.90 of every dollar goes to the kid.

Does anyone else know of any that are better?
We prefer to go through religiously neutral charities. I know it seems petty, but we have some issues with strongly religious organisations.

So...charities? Ideas?
