While I hate my job with a passion, sometimes we get cool guests.
This dude just came in from NC (driving), and as I was checking him in, he asked about upgrading the room. He was an Orbitz customer, so I thought "What the hell, he can leave a good review..."
So I upgrade him to a suite, and he hands me $20. I was like "Thank you...not necessary, but thank you very much!"
(He was a very nice, jovial guy hence why I said that to him. While I checked him in I was bullshitting with him because I know what the drive to NC is like. I have family there.)
Sweet deal. $20 for doing something I am told by my boss to do for free on slow nights like tonight. I won't complain at all.

Oh trust me they can get hiccups and he gets them on pretty much a daily basis! This morning they were monitoring his heart rate and he wouldnt stop having the hiccups so it made it hard to get a reading.
