I love how the Tax collector for my town doesn't send you your car taxes until 4 fucking days before it's due.
Luckily it's not a lot, and I have the money (for once), but it still pisses me off.
The other part that annoys me is I mail all my outgoing mail from the post office since I have a PO Box. I drop it in the box outside the post office and that's that. Well, my car taxes are going to a po box in the same town I mail from...and we have one post office...so why the hell do I have to pay postage? They're just going to take it from the mailbox and stick it in the Tax collector's po box.
Yeah yeah...it's only $0.44...but still. It's the principal.

We can drop off taxes (and water / sewer payment) at our town hall in a box outside if we don't want to pay postage. Sometimes I do that just to get the exercise walking there (and saving the dollar or two over the course of the year isn't bad either... more lottery tickets for me!)
