So I've been thinking, a lot, and I want to start putting money away for land in NH. I think the best investment would be a decent 10-15 acre chunk of wooded land in NH. Why?
Simple, even if society crumbles and money is worth shit, I could have a place to live. Even a crude hut in a forest that has renewable resources is better than...nowhere.
I also plan on dropping the money on a 12 gauge come income tax season. I can get one for $300 or less, and it's versatile. I can hunt large and small game with it, as well as defend myself.
I just think it's a good idea, and a good thing to have.
Plus, I've wanted one for a while.

It's time to stop wasting what little money I have on dvds and things of that nature and start spending on things that will help my future. Sure, owning a movie I like is cool, but what good will it do me if I am hungry? I can't eat it...
