Lots of good stuff going on lately. I've started driving more. Jay let's me drive his new Ford Explorer around whenever I want to, and I'm starting to wonder why I was so terrified of driving in the first place. A few more night time back road drives, a few hours city time...and I should be ready for my test.
My snakes are mating. After 2 and a half years of buying, selling, finding out snakes I thought were female were actually male...it's all coming together. I can't wait to see some little heads poking out off eggs.
So this Spring I am going to take a class to get into the swing of school again. I'll apply for financial aid for the Fall of '08, and pay for Spring/Summer classes out of pocket...
It means another 2-4 years at the Pedlar, but it's ok. As long as my sanity can hold up, I can. Plus...this place is perfect for going to school full time. I have 8 hours of basically quiet time to do homework every night. Net access...printer access...
Perfect.
Time to put this giant brain to use...and actually do something.
And this time...actually do it.
I've pretty much stopped worrying about women. I figure if I concentrate on my license, my snakes and getting a CAREER (not just a shitty job), a woman is bound to come along and say "hey...this guy is cool shit."
This doesn't mean I won't have those "man am I lonely" times...especially with the holidays coming up, but I've lived through many lonely holidays...a few more isn't a huge issue.
Plus, my "Daily Moment of Zen" is really helping me focus on the stuff that makes me happy in life and not the shitty stuff.
Word.

Today I actually have THREE moments of Zen...
(to clarify, a moment of Zen is when everything in the world melts away and I feel happy. I started it to keep myself happy and not depressed)
1: On the walk home from work, there were tons of dead leaves on the sidewalk by the church. I walked through them...and it made me happy. I love that noise.
2: I got home from work to find my snakes mating. (Confirmed lock-up this time)
3: I was waiting to go to my mom's, and I saw a honey bee. I hadn't seen one ALL Summer, and here it is...October, and I saw one. It just made me...happy.
Today was an EXCELLANT day.
