A couple of weeks ago, a co-worker went to fix me up with someone she felt would be a good match (an acquaintance of hers)....who ended up ghosting me after about 5 days of messaging back and forth.

Then matched with someone on one of those on-line dating sites (that seem to work almost never for me)....chatted a few times and now it seems she ghosted me.

When did it become socially acceptable to simply stop talking to someone, instead of telling them "I don't this is going to work out" and ending things? Just curious, since this is stuff I dealt with in High School and thought would be over when I hit adulthood.

Thanks!
