well, did perhaps too much for a work out today.

hit the treadmill....decided to keep the incline at 0.0. means for me that I have to increase the speed. so I put it at 5.0 mph for 45 minutes....yeah, its a run/jog for me. damn near got sick from dehydrating myself. and that included going through at least 20 ounces of a sports drink (generic Gatorade) during that time. ended with 60 minutes on the treadmill total (10 minutes warm-up, 45 minutes full out, 5 minutes cool down).

think next time I won't go as fast. just to be sure. and yeah, I was pouring in sweat. finished the bottle of sport drink (32 ounces total) plus water plus opened up the other bottle and drank out of that.

and keep in mind, I'm not jugging the drink down, I'm taking small sips repeatedly.

slept and I'm still sore. I get to work tonight then off tomorrow. start the new job and I won't be working as much as Wegmans....primarily weekends. actually exclusively. probably in pricing, since the store recently lost someone....she worked in Accounting, Pricing, and as a Coordinator (mid-level management). and no one will say why she left....aka, she got fired for something like stealing. nice.

oh well, that's life in retail. hopefully this new job goes a lot better and I end up leaving and next year buying me a new car (hmmm......anyone have experience with Jettas?) and go from there.

avoid the sports drink on runs that long and stick to water. You only want to bring out the sports drinks on runs over an hour and even then sparingly. I would only pull them out on runs an hour and a half and up. The problem with sports drink is they have lots of sugar and your body really doesn't need that sugar until longer distances.
