so "geeked out" last night...400 pt. build, sealed box Heroclix tournament. you show up, buy 2 boxes (10 clix) and build your team. its hard in some ways, since you don't know what you're getting (someone who pulls a Thanos has a better chance then someone who only pulls a Mole Man). the interesting part is figuring out how to get everyone to work together.

I won 2 matches and lost 1. I beat an Adam Warlock (rare version)/Mistress Death team (in part, he had bad dice rolls) that was retribution (since he slaughtered me in a constructed format....I hit him once in that match). I lost to a Dr. Doom/Mr. Fantastic Chase/Skrull Rebel/Martinex team (my cousin ran...he kept pumping up his Doom by having his scrubs attack first) and beat a Fallen One/Warlock/Cosmo team (new guy, he misused Fallen One).

the team I fielded.....Ravenous/Hulk/Nikki. first used Ravenous's trait to duplicate Penetrating/Psychic blast, then duplicated the Defenders team ability on the last 2 games.

all the clix are from the Galactic Guardians set.

then afterwards, since I also got a Mr. Fantastic that I already had, traded him away for Mistress Death that I did not have.

so $20 for the 2 boxes, and $5 for pizza and pop....walked away with 11 clix (since I came in 4th, I chose 4th from the prizes.....took an old Maximus) and the Infinity Gauntlet needing to only get the Soul Gem.

I won't complain.

although woke up at 4:30 AM to get ready....having worked overnight and fallen asleep at 10:30 AM. then went to work and did not get to sleep again until 11:00 AM or so. now time to shower and get ready to go back into work for my final of 3 overnight shifts.
